Hide where you are, not who you are
A selfie can give away a home address, a school or a car. Pixelating the background removes those clues while the person stays clear. The person finder is PP-HumanSeg, a small segmentation network that estimates, for every part of the picture, how likely it is to be a person.
Flip the switch to “Hide the person” and the same mask hides the people instead — useful when the place matters and the bystanders don't.

Segmentation is never perfect at the edges. Add brush strokes or rectangles to hide anything the mask left visible; they combine with the mask. Background mode is exempt from the safety floor because it is a large area by nature — the block size you choose is the one used.
Questions
How does it know where the person is?
It runs PP-HumanSeg, a person segmentation model (5.9 MB, downloaded once from our model file server and cached), in your browser. It produces a soft mask that the page scales to your photo.
Can I pixelate the person instead of the background?
Yes. After the person is found, switch “Hide” from “Background” to “Person”.
The edge around hair looks rough. Can I fix it?
Pixel blocks hide small edge errors well. If something is still visible, paint over it with the brush, or raise the block size.
Does it work with several people?
Yes — the model marks all people as one mask. It is trained on people, so pets and objects are treated as background.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Only the model file is downloaded, and only after you press the button.
